Testimonials
So I was at rock bottom in a homeless park and tried everything I knew to get out of the situation I was in. I had been clean for a short time, staring at this cement wall, thinking I'm not getting out of this place and faced with hopelessness.
I met with Doug Hardy one day who told me about these half way houses, I was excited! I moved in and finally had a place to stay, but no job. Doug forgave two weeks rent but then I was responsible for rent after that.
During this time I was attending a Bible study, and they were such a tremendous blessing! There were a few times I messed up but I tried to own up also as I wanted my life to change, and I really have to say I had these opportunities to do so. It was the second biggest blessing in my life, besides salvation!
The houses gave me a safe place to go when the world was beating me down. Those that lived there helped me gain perspective on my own bad behaviors. All in all they say a change needs to take place as a result of salvation, and so it did! And in no small way, just simply a miracle! Well that place of change for me was at Providence house!
I thank God for the house and for Doug Hardy!
